John S. Rumsfeld, MD, PhD, FACC, FAHA, FESC is the Chief Innovation Officer for the American College of Cardiology (ACC), the 53,000 member non-profit professional association for cardiovascular clinicians in the U.S. and internationally. In this role, Dr. Rumsfeld is responsible for developing a long-term innovation agenda to help the ACC maintain its competitive advantage in the global marketplace, investigating global and domestic market trends in the delivery of cardiovascular care and health information technology, and exploring new technologies and team-based approaches to health care.
